i am deciding between 7970 and 680 and i cannot decide i play a range of diffrent games
Specs
CPU:AMD FX-8350 FX-Series Eight-Core Processor Edition, Black AM3 FD8350FRHKBOX
MOBO:AMD 760G
RAM: 8 gigs

but there is also the 4gb version of 680

You probably wont need that much for a while, unless you have a super hi def display or multi monitor setup. One gig was the standard for a long time.
Quick edit 3 for nvidia so far (including me)

And the OC'd 680 will outperform the OC'd 670 as well. The 670 is a good deal and even at stock clocks offers almost the same performance for the most part.
