if I am not mistaken, the high ridge on vengance ram can be removed without removing the main body of the heatsink. Ram heat sinks and spreaders are mostly for looks, and do not provide much in the way of actual cooling, so removing the top spreader would not hurt anything if it is designed to be removed.
DO NOT remove the heat spreader that is attached directly on the ram modules. These spreaders are typically glued or cemented in place, and removing them can damage the modules underneath unless you are very careful. Only attempt to remove the top ridge spreader, and only if it is designed to be removable.
Another nice thing about the 212 coolers is that they are very flexible. It is not optimal, but you can re-mount the fan and bracket to have it set up as a pull fan on the opposite side of the cooler, or bump the fan up a little bit on the cooler to clear your ram slots.
In general (though I am not familiar with your particular board) an EVO will only interfere with slot #1 right next to the CPU. Slot #2 is typically far enough away to not be an issue.
