I am overclocking my cpu using amd overdrive software. The only thing I change in bios is the cpu/nb voltage headroom (so voltage doesn't droop due to heat), and I disable turbo core. All other adjustments are made via windows. I ran a stable 4.3ghz overclock @1.400 voltage. Ran stress test for 24 minutes, and max temp was 50 degrees celsius. No cores failed during test, and no blue screens or crashes. System was perfectly stable. I reset computer via windows (start menu/power/reset - windows 8). Windows boot failed, so I reset via reset button, and windows booted. I then started my hardware monitor/cpu-z/amd overdrive/speedfan. All sensors indicated stock speeds. If anyone can tell me why this is happening, I would greatly appreciate it.
