High cpu using when idle

Hello,

first of all i must apologize for my english. Maybe it be hard to understand. I have a problem with my pc, litteraly with my cpu. After a vaacum cleaner cleaning my pc i have problem with cpu, in the process explorer it shows for 1-2% of hardware interrupts every second i touch a mouse, when i don't touch it, it's show 0-0,39%. On many polish forums nobody can help me, so i try to write this problem on this forum. I've read some topics about my problems at this forum, but none of this solve my problem. 15 to 20 minutes before a cleaning, everything was fine without problems. After that, whenever i want to play some games, watch some movies it's hard because it's employ a 50-70% of my cpu power. Some people tell me it's a problem with hard drives. But i have 2 hard drives, and after a cleaning on twice hdd i have same problem. Please help me with this problem, my pc it's now a useful box. Ask me for anything, i'll try to answer.

PC specifications:

hdd SAMSUNG HD103SJ (931 GB, IDE)

video card AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (1024 MB)

cpu AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor, 3206 MHz

motherboard Asrock 870 Extreme 3, AMD 870 + sb 850 chipsets

4 GB RAM

power supply OCZ stealth x stream 500W

After a 2 weeks, still i don't know what is the problem. My .etl log shows highest using by ataport.sys, and usbport.sys. On many others forums nobody can help me, even after i did all of somebody solutions. Now it's time to find help on hardware forum, maybe i damaged something. Sorry for my english once more.

Download and install malwarebytes. You might have a virus or other malware causing you problems.

Sorry, but i did that before fresh instal of OS, still same problem. Now i have fresh instal for no longer than week, problem exist anyway with all up to date and even hdd working in ahci mode. Thx for answering.

Check your temps using hardware monitor. It is possible you knocked your heatsink loose. 50-70% while gaming isn't that big of deal actually.

I use OC tuner- utility program from ASROCK motherboard driver disc. He help me to control fans on cpu and the other one. Temperatures when i play - 50-52 with 3000 rpm on cpu's fan. If i set to lvl 10, temperature is 43-45 max. Before i clean my pc, it was impossible to get 80% of cpu when playing, really i don't remember my cpu usage, but now starting a task manager shows from 14 to 60% of cpu, it's not normal.

Have you started playing a different game after the cleaning that you were not playing before? Take a screenshot of task manager showing everything that is using CPU.

After fresh instalation i don't play any games, but now i play Battlefield BC2, BF3, that is hard for my pc now, before cleaning it was not much. Any process cause cpu using, but really smallest program use 5-7 %, before my cleaning - impossible.

I do not know that language but I think that is the CPU % that is not being used. It means that your system is using only 1% of the CPU and therefore there should be no problems. Try to take a screenshot while watching a movie or something.

Compact :

What you're seeing is the English equivalent of the System Idle Process, all it is, is the amount of CPU processing that is sitting idle.

As you can see there, it's at 99%, which basically means that the computer is only using 1% of processing capabilities. 99% is a normal good idle state

Sure, i know that, but i have mostly cpu spikes when playing or opening some programs. Task manager absorb to 60% of cpu when i open it. That is idle, but without nothing oppened,browse or something cause sometimes 40% !

Sorry for leaving this topic, i didn't have acces to internet for 3 days. You need a screen of task manager when im playing? But there it's nothing weird when i play, only game use 80% of cpu power, but why so much? I can't do to much now on computer, when i play some games and when it's on i need to look how to do something, on internet, but it's really hard to do.

screen shot is 1% usage CPU no problem !
and about play game may be in the resolution of 1440x900 your making BF3 use more of your CPU, if you use a 1080p monitor and run the res @ 1920x1080 it will swing the usage from the CPU back to the GPU.
1440x900 = More of the CPU being used because of the lower res.
1080p = More of the GPU because of the higher res.
