Hey on my laptop I experience quite often random audio for ad's that just play for no reason at all. So When this started I went to my volume mixxer and there is a segment that says name not available. Also I haven't been able to open norton. I am assuming these two things are related. If they are how do I fix them? Please help me.

I paid for norton when I subscribed so about 7 months which I paid for either a year or two years of service I cannot remember off the top of my head but I should still be covered. Also if it matters any the problem started after norton told me to restart to get rid of a virus that was on my computer at the time and when I restarted I could not open norton for the life of me.

Put in your Norton disc....BOOT from it and run both The Norton scan AND the Power Eraser scan...

Only one problem with that I purchased the software online and downloaded it from there is there a way for me to do this without the disk.

Ok I downloaded the files and did as you said I finished the eraser and my computer blue screened luckily I am able to open it in safe mode and windows poped a message that has a lot of numbers but at the bottom it said files that help describe the problem C:\Windows\Owner\Minidump\041113-32307.dmp C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-57314-0.sysdata.xml Is this fixable at all at this point?

You write them to cd and BOOT from the cd...you don't run them in windows....
