running multiple displays

hi the question that i have in mind is about running multiple displays. if i am to run 4 monitors will i be able to do this with 2 gtx 550ti or any other dual card setup and what if i wanted to run 5 or 6 monitors can i do this with a tri sli card

basically that's how it was. and you don't need exact card as your first one. if you want to use 6 monitor you'll need the third if you use fermi based or much older card.

If your purpose is to play games in surround your going to need another 550Ti. If not then any card will do. To make things easier just use nvidia cards for the second card so you don't need to install another driver for it. Fermi based cards on older can only drive up to 2 monitor per gpu. If you get kepler based card you can drive up to 4 monitor per gpu.

i wont be playing games this is just for browsing. i need to be able to have 4 monitors. i have read that i can use all 4 dvi ports when not in sli mode i just looking into it more for clarity. and if i want to have 6 monitors do i just add another card
