Hi, I got a ISO image of Windows XP from my other computer, I opened it with WinRar on the other computer and when I look at it is have a file called "AMD64"

My computer that I want to install on is a HP h8-1220 I got a Intel core i7 8gb RAM and a Windows 7 running on it and its x64. The file name AMD 64 in the ISO looks like that if I install it on the computer it will probley get a BSOD or something bad like that because I am using a Intel processor. The ISO from the other computer is almost 6 years old and my computer is about 1 year, from 2012. Please help me ASAP

Solution
You can make dual boot with XP too.

Does this link provide you the XP driver for your PC-> http://fielnaml.info/hp-pavilion-hpe-h8-1220-drivers-for-windows-xp/ ?

Solved? ;)

NOTE: If you have got your answer, pick as solution. Please don't let the thread remain without picking solution even after you have got the solution.

I like your fast reply. I got the Windows XP Pro x64 with the code

Hi :)

Then just put it in cd drive and boot from it...

BUT and this is a BIG BUT.... you NEED to know where you can get XP drivers for ALL your hardware FIRST....

All the best Brett :)

Most of the software includes x86 & 64 bit files. You don't need to get confused of it.

If your mobo supports 64 bit, then the 64 bit files will be installed, if not then x86 will be installed.

Nothing to worry, just go on and install.

My computer I get it from is really old and it is like 6 years now, the mobo is ASUS, my HP has a completely different mobo obviously. I wanted to go to the HP website and download the drivers for the windows XP and put it on my USB, BUT... the HP drivers only got for windows 7 and 8, no XP...
