One monitor brighter than the other

I am using 2 acer s230hl monitors both using DVI ports from the video card. I have a GeForce GTX 650 video card. For some reason one of my monitors is quite a bit brighter than the other one can anyone help me out?

did you try to interchange the monitor and also check the brightness of each one for the same settings .

Most monitors have brightness settings that you can control using the buttons in the bottom right corner of the motherboard. Try those.

I have tried both of them and neither made any difference and both monitors are set on the exact same settings.

Sounds like the darker monitor might be damaged. It wouldn't hurt to update to the newest version of the drivers then open the Nvidia or Catalyst control center and check monitor settings there.

Its not damaged i have switch the dvi cords out and there both bright one is just always brighter than the other. Could it maybe be the dvi cord im using an older one and a new one for the monitor i bought today, And now that i think of it, it seems like the one that has the older cord is normally the one that isnt as bright.

try the old cable with the new monitor and the new cable with the old one .
