Hey everyone, I just recently purchased a MSI 7950, an upgrade from my 6770. Somehow, I'm get horrible frames around 10FPS whereas my 6770 would have around 30. So I've tried jus about everything but tonight I ran a benchmark and i got 1900 on my physic score, which from what I know is a CPU test.

At first, with the low FPS I was thinking maybe a faulty 7950 card but after my 3Dmark11 test, I'm kind of stumped.

Looking for any suggestions/advice...

Specs:
Gigabyte GA 880mGM-D2H
MSI 7950 @ 880/1250
2x4GB Corsair DDR3 ram
AMD Phenom X2 965 @ 3.6ghz
Corsair CX600 PSU

Benchmark :

Overall score was P4484 , which I believe is low.

Well, your CPU would definitely be holding the 7950 back (bottlenecking it), but you are getting lower frames compared to your 6770...
I would recommend getting a better CPU (3570k) and then see what happens. I'm sure there is a CPU bottleneck, but I'm not too sure why you would be getting less frames...
I'll have a think about it.

Yeah, try running driver sweeper and reinstalling latest amd drivers. Other than that, I'm not sure why your fps would have gone down. As oddlyinsane said, that cpu is kind of a huge bottleneck but fps should still have gone up.
