does newegg make a lot of bent pen claims for RMA's?

im sort of dealing with that atm with my new asus mobo.

just sort of curious i was looking online and seen all kinds of RMA denials over bent pin excuses. heck the mobo i got has a review with a bent pen excuse just 2 days ago. is this a pretty common thing with this company?

I can't answer your question per se, but if you have received a MB with bent pins or contacts, go thru the Newegg RMA request. They will let you know quickly if it is acceptable for replacement or refund, or not.

I have had this issue. This is just them protecting themselves from people who did it to the motherboard. Just call up newegg and tell then what happened.

sent em an email actually. not sure if they got 24 hour call service so was think i'd have to wait till tomorrow. i'll check on that.
sort of was th trying to get a little input i on peoples worse side of cs from this place. =p

I have been buying from the Egg for years. Built many PCs with their parts. Never had an issue with an RMA. But I never had a bent pin issue, either. They may be suspicious if you are a new buyer, tho. Bent pins on boards or CPUs are rare and are usually the result of careless folks not knowing what they are doing. I'm not saying that was your case, tho. Just mean that it is something they may be suspicious of.

I agree 100%. Not to mention that many people can bend the pins and not know it, they are very fragile. They really should add a large warning label onto the box just for that.
