Hello all,

I appreciate you taking the time to read my post. I'm having a slight problem when it comes to working in 1080p. I purchased an Insignia 1080p TV after I built my new computer as an alternative to a rather expensive LCD monitor. It's a 32', Insignia 1080p TV; however when I go into the 1920 x 1080 setting, the colors begin to become rather distorted. I'm not exactly sure how to explain it. Could it be a 'Sharpness' issue? It seems as though edges on words and around the screen are much more pronounced.

I'm sorry for my poor explaining.

Any and all help is appreciated!

Take care,

Ryan

Honestly it may just be down to the quality of the TV. Make sure you aren't using any dynamic image quality settings for the TV as these usually boost white levels and darken blacks giving you a very high contrast ratio. Good for action movies, but terrible for PC text. The pixel size on a 32" TV is huge in comparison to a smaller monitor too. If you are a few feet away from it then it looks good... close up... not so much.
