I posted this in CyberpowerPC forums in multiple posts, but condensing into one post here.

I am having issues with my computer freezing up when I play Eve Online. I log in, select my corp tab, click and start typing, then it makes a weird noise and freezes. Event viewer says critical error for power kernel 41 (63) which is a generic code.

When I turn off my PC, and restart, sometimes the mouse isn't showing up, and I have to unplug it and replug it back in.

Furmark ran fine. I am running Prime95, and its running fine so far. I can't run memtest86+ because I can't get into BIOS. They did a legacy BIOS, and not UEFI. It is impossible for me to hit delete in time for it to boot up the normal way. In advanced restart, since it isn't UEFI, my USB bootable with memtest isn't showing up.

Temps are fine according to my fan controller, which stay at 30C or below.

I'm using a logitech G15 keyboard, and a g9x mouse.

I reseated the RAM, and I pushed on the GPU a bit more to make sure it was in.

Furmark score was 1835 (30 FPS; 60,000ms). Min FPS was 31, Max was 32, Avg 30. At resolution of 1920x1080. Max temp my GPU got was 65C. (From what I read, cards will detect Furmark is running, and throttle the card down)

Itunes works fine with audio, youtube, and etc. I disabled the nvidia HD and uninstalled the driver, and still no dice. (I'm using mobo audio)

I'm wondering I just need to reinstall windows?

I'm not sure how I can get to BIOS so I can boot from my USB to run memtest to test my RAM. I've been trying to fix this problem for about 5 hours now.

While running Prime95, (according to speedfan) my CPU temp is Core 0 69C, core 1 65C, core 2 62C. I don't see a core 3??

GPU is 32C.

Speedtest only detects 1 fan, which is at around 1.4k RPM

Also it was making a weird clicking noise. I opened up my case, and couldn't tell what it was. I closed it back up, and it was still doing it, then it just went away.

Edit: I just launched Diablo 3. It was fine, until I entered the game, and at the loading screen, it went BEEEP and froze like it does with Eve Online.

I did Furmark again, but this time the 15 minute burn in at 1920x1080.

Maxed at 75C. Fan speed never went over 49%. GPU temp is at 36C about 30 secs orless after furmark.

Edit: Also I just restarted my computer, and my mouse wasn't working, and had to replug it in, so it isn't the mouse that is causing the crashes.

Guild Wars 2 seems to work fine. No crashes. I ran around for about 5 minutes. No problems

Edit: Just logged into Diablo 3 for a few seconds. No problems. Going to try Eve Online now.

Edit2: Eve Online crashed like it did before.

Edit3: Tried Diablo 3 Again, crashed at loading screen again entering the game.

(note I'm not having issues with reconnecting mouse anymore)

I finally figured it out all by myself. (Except getting into BIOS)

First, my keyboard/mouse was in USB 3, so it wouldn't allow me to hit DEL to get into BIOS.

Once I was in BIOS, my mobo/RAM has XMP and performance enhance.

Now, what happen is when the CP guy was making my computer, he flashed one of the BIOS to F4u, which is fine.

HOWEVER he turned on the performance enhance to TURBO, and had XMP disabled. I enabled XMP, and it worked. I did more research, and XMP and performance enhance go together.

If he had left the performance enhance on standard, then it would of worked just fine.

Anyway, I turned on XMP, and performance to turbo, and Eve Online kinda lags when logging into the character. (It used to crash)

I turned on XMP and performance enhance to Extreme, and it loads like normal.

:)
