How do I uninstall windows 8 completely? I don't want to uninstall and reinstall via windows. I tried that, and it isn't deleting all my programs.

I want to uninstall it, format my drive, then install it like it never had windows on it before.

I can't find anywhere that tells me how to do this.

Solution
• Did you perform clean install or upgrade installation of Windows 8?
• Are you using Administrator or Standard account?
• Are you facing issue with internal or external hard drive?
• Which partition are you trying to format?
• Did you use Bitlocker or any other third party program to encrypt the drive?
Caution: Doing any of the following will erase all data: please make sure you have a backup before continuing.
Step 1:
Try to take permission of Hard disk and then try formatting the hard disk and check.
a) Right click your Hard Drive.
b) Go to Properties.
c) Click Security.
d) Click Edit under a quote "To change permissions, click Edit."
e) Click Add.
f) Type in "everyone" in the white box.
g) Then check in the box "Full Control".
h)...

You have 2 options when you uninstall via windows, to reinstall the PC as of the status when you installed Windows 8 and to completely delete everything on your drive. You possibly chose the first and got a fresh install of Windows 8.

Pick the other one and delete everything. This does work.

I don't understand. There is only 1 option and that is to delete everything and reinstall windows. There's is a "refresh" option. I want to completely permenantly delete windows 8 off my drive, and not auto reinstall.

This makes the hard drive usable by everyone (all users and different computers)

Step 2:
Try to format it from Disk Management and check if it helps.
a) Right click on bottom left corner of the desktop and select Disk Management.
b) Right click on encrypted drive and select format.
c) If you are not able to format select delete volume.
d) After deleting Right click on Unallocated and select New Simple Volume.

Hope this information will be helpful
