I've checked drivers, software related issues, motherboard settings and have not added any new hardware or external devices to the machine.

This problem occured less than 2 weeks ago and now continues.

I game for around 30-60 minutes (BF3 / Bioshock Infinite)

The machine will shutdown, no BSOD, just a cold shutdown. I cannot boot the machine back up unless I leave it for some time (5-10 minutes).

I 'physically' check the heatsinks and they feel warmish, but nothing out of the ordinary. My temps seem average for GPU / CPU and HDD (CPU-Z / GPU-Z / speedFan) all temps seem within there limits.

Could this be a PSU issue? Could this be an overheating issue (Although im sure its not....)

Any help would be great.

My Rig
ASUS Maximus V Extreme
i7 3rd Gen (Standard Clock)
GTX 690
16GB Corsair RAM (Memtest ran, ram passed all fine)
512GB Vertex 4 SSD (This has been performing fine for over 6 months since i built the rig)
Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1000W PSU
