What memory sticks do you have? And what did you do with XMP?

I'm no expert, just asking...
2T == cca 1-5% performance drop compared to 1T - could it that be the source of the problem?

also the slot doesn't matter as long the two ram sticks are put in the same colour slots...

I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144614, I went into the bios and looked for XMP but couldn't find it. I had to go into Ai or something like that and memory popped up. I went to XMP and clicked on profile 1. Saved the settings and thats what I got. Here it is without XMP enabled http://imgur.com/2WE8P2x.

Set the memory to X.M.P. in the AI Overclock Tuner area. The BIOS will "read" your memory, and set it by itself.

I have done that as well. Auto, Manual, XMP, XMP profile.(In drop down)
Whoops I’m sorry guys. http://imgur.com/KdBwRJ6 Boot time 01:12.8

There is a noticeable difference when it boots, the icons on the desktop for example don’t load for a while. Opening up word, or steam will take longer to open. Images on websites also takes longer to load.

It sounds like you are having OCing stability problems. I would recommend turning off XMP and just leaving the RAM at stock.

If you want to get ram that is supported by the motherboard for XMP, let me know and I will give you a few suggestions.

I have another pair of RAM (unopened) CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345 I didn't open them thinking the speed from the GeIL was faster.

Well the good news is that those RAM sticks are supported by the boards XMP. I would clear the current settings, then drop those in.

Set the memory to X.M.P. in the AI Overclock Tuner area. Don't do anything else.

If you don't have it overclocked or have any other important settings enabled, I would just do a standard BIOS clearing by unplugging the computer, removing the battery on the board (right above the video card slot in the middle), then holding down the power button for 1 minute, let the computer sit for a few more minutes, then put the battery back in and plug the computer back in.
