Hey guys. So will it bottleneck this system? If so, could I have some suggestions on stuff to upgrade?
Cpu: phenom II x4 840 3.2 ghz quad core
Mobo: biostar a880gz (will probably upgrade)
Psu: 575w
8gb ddr3 1333 ram
Monitor resolution :1680x1080

Thanks

Your processor will bottleneck the 7950 a little bit, I would recommend upgrading to a 6300. Besides that you are fine as long as you psu has the proper connecters

More like the other way around. I had a 945 CPU for a while with my 7950. I upgraded to the 2500k and got a big boost in FPS. I can only imagine your chip will hold it back further.

Just about all monitors out there display 60 frames per second, so any system that can exceed that will, effectively, be restricted by the monitor, no matter haw fast the CPU/graphics card is.
There's no need for a 7950 at that resolution, it's just too fast and upgrading the CPU/MB/RAM is only going to add cost for no benefit-the system will overpower the monitor even more.
What card is already installed? It may already be a close match to the rest of the system.
