Approximate Purchase Date: Not Sure. Probably in the Summer Holidays when i have 8 weeks off school :D

Budget Range: £1000/$1500 after VAT

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Browsing the Web, Watching YouTube, School Work

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: None

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Whatever PartPicker says. Preferably UK based

Location: City, State/Region, Country - UK

Parts Preferences: Not really bothered

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 is the resolution of the monitor i found on part picker. I'm not sure if this is good or not

Additional Comments: Gonna want to have no lag, high FPS on mid-high graphics on pretty much all games ATM and for 3-5 years in the future (hopefully) Specifically BF 3&4, APB Reloaded and others

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My computer i have now can't run Minecraft in browser. Yeaaahhh its pretty crap.

What i have ATM is this-

The GPU i found on Amazon.co.uk and it wasn't on PartPicker so i did it as a Custom Part.
Is it all compatible?
Can i get better things with the £55 left?
Can i get better or the same quality for less or the same amount of money?

All help/advice is apreciated
Thnx in advance

While you have gone with the bells and whistles of an OC chip/board combo and SSD i feel for the money it is lightweight in the meat and potatoes of a bang for buck gaming rig i.e the GPU. Even more so for 1080p gaming - here is a no frills/stock base build with a monster single GPU smacked in off Ebuyer UK

Although your build is good i think my build would perform better overall. I have the unlocked CPU and Z77 board because i will be OCing to around 4.3-4.5ghz. I also have an SSD because i want my comp to load quickly as i do turn it on and off frequently. I also like my maps and stuff to load quickly.
Thnx for your input though

- that Ram is too darn expensive, go for cheaper 8Gb 1600 MHz one.
- you like that case very much? if yes then just get it, if you don't really like it, get a cheaper one such as Xigmatek Asgard pro/NZXT source 210/Raidmax Hurricane/Corsair 200R/Bitfenix Shinobi.
- Zalman Performa is good.
- spend the rest on GPU, HD7790/7850/7870XT

Thnx a lot for your advice. I like the look of the case, it isn't very expensive and it has good airflow.

Any feedback on the new build or any advice on different components?

Hmmm... Go for 600+W, minimum power requirement for 7870 is 500W, and you are going to overclock it, so go for higher wattage.

Overclock the GPU? Didn't know this was possible. Does the XT just mean its unlocked so u can OC? Either way i will upgrade the PSU.
Thnx for the help
Any other build ideas are greatly appreciated
