Bad choice of words. I am not looking to sell each piece of hardware separately. By components I meant Tower/Monitor(s)/Audio. Wondering how much I can get for everything, or at the least what my tower, monitors and audio are worth individually. Thanks for the tip though!

Thanks!

As a rule, you will gain more by selling the parts individually than you will by selling the complete package.
The reason is that it is unlikely that a buyer wants exactly what you have to sell.
It is a pain to do. If you are looking for a new build, then perhaps it would be best to keep the parts you want to reuse and sell off the rest.

Oh okay. Well in that case, I will head to ebay and check the parts prices.

Yeah, I am pricing right now to get a better idea. But my thoughts are wouldn't the prices on eBay be fairly rock bottom considering they are so far reaching? Furthermore, wouldn't the people buying these parts have a rough idea of what they are buying opposed to a random person looking for a good gaming pc off kijiji/craigslist?

Edit: If I recorded/added everything up right, the tower is about $1.5k. Seem somewhat right?
tl;dr: I feel like there is more merit and profit to selling as a whole locally then piecing it out and selling globally.

You might be able to find a lazy or uninformed buyer via craig's list, but I would not count on it.
More likely you will find someone trying to buy a pc cheap for parts.
On ebay, there are people looking for complete pc's they can buy cheap so they can part it out and sell for a profit.

If you have time I suppose you could try one, then the other.
Ebay will sell in a known time period, and for a competitive price.
Set your price reasonably. Your starting bid should be low enough to get a competitive auction, but high enough so you will not be giving the part away if there is only one bidder. Perhaps 50% of the typical selling price.

Thanks again for the continued help geo! Does my rough estimate of $1.5k seem fathomable?
