MSI Z77a-GD65 bootloop Bios#1

I recently purchased windows 8, after all drivers were installed I still had a yellow question mark in my Device Manager. So I fired up MSI Live Update it found 3 things that needed to be updated. To make a long story short I did not see that one of the 3 was a BIOS flash until it was too late. After it flashed and restarted my computer has went into boot loop on BIOS 1. I researched and discovered that a similar question had been answered here before with the recommended action of resetting the CMOS. I have tried that method and it does not help. It seems to boot fine on BIOS 2 but my concern is IF the MB is not parsing correctly and since BIOS 1 is still stuck in boot loop could this damage other components attached to MB?
And is there any other suggestions to the boot loop on BIOS 1? On my MB there is both a CMOS button (on the back of the unit by the USB ports) and a Jumper switch called JBAT1 (located beneath the video card) I have tried both but still boot loop?
Thanks in advance

Luckily enough, our motherboards have dual bios as you already know. Using the second one, you won't have any issue. The first chip is essentially disconnected from your computer.

As for your boot loop, I am uncertain. Bad luck :(

So with the switch I am essentially "disconnecting" BIOS1 there by "solving" any parsing difficulties? I am OCD about my PC and it disturbs me that I have a bad chip floating around haha!
Is there anyway to recover BIOS 1 or is it essentially bricked? I work with my android doing different mods and have managed to recover from boot loop issues with android. There just, seems to me, has to be a way to get this back to booting. I could be completely wrong I am just asking.

You're fine using your second bios chip. It's what it's there for.
Honestly, I don't know how to go about recovering bios 1. Bios updates terrify me :D

Yes they do the same for me. I have successfully flashed BIOS before but never through windows and never with multiple updates... I know I should have read "what" MSI live update was updating but only caught it after the fact when it was in fact installing with no way to cancel out :( Thank you for your input though

Hi,
From the manual:
You can access BIOS → SECURITY → "Multi BIOS Auto Update" item and set the feature to enable or disable.
Once enabled, the new BIOS version will automatically reflash the older one.

From what I understand, the older BIOS will be recovered.
