How good is a gt610 as a very light gaming card

i was looking to purchase a gt610 for my mediacenter pc. this card is only 10 dollars and i was wondering how it would compare to a gt220. plz reply soon as is the card is an one day only deal.thx

They are pretty much exactly the same with the exception that the 600 series supports directx 11. Here's some benchmark comparison links

It won't really do games unless you want to play at 800x600. It's not any better than integrated graphics.

I don't think you can overclock it and if you could it probably wouldn't be stable, or make much of a difference. It's a little bit better than most integrated graphics chips, but some of the new ones are better than this like the Intel hd 4000. I would buy it for $10 just because you could use it to upgrade an older machine or you could sell it for more.

Just keep in mind that the gt 610 is not meant for gaming. Nvidia's entry level gaming cards start at the gt 630, mid range is gtx 650 and 650ti, high end are gtx 660 and higher. Those games might be playable on very low resolution and settings with the 610, I don't know because I would never try it.
