Windows 7 64-bit issue with installing AMD Drivers

I have a Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7340

Windows 7 64-bit

AMD A6-3400M 1.4ghz APU With Radeon HD Graphics (Radeon HD 6520g)

6-Gb Ram

I just re-installed Windows after a crash yesterday. While installing the driver I went to the AMD website and downloaded the Detector and it gave me an Error saying "it could not install due to incompatibility with my current Hardware" which was weird. I then went to the support site for Toshiba and found the driver for my model and tried installing them they failed giving me only the explanation of "Installation Failed" I found a driver for the 6520g and it installed and CCC seemed to work but i couldn't get my native resolution of 1600x900 so I opened up a directX Diagnostic to find out that the current Display Driver is the Standard VGA Adapter. I've uninstalled it and restarted but it just automatically re-installs I turned off the automatic install of Device drivers but it kept doing it anyway. I cannot get my AMD drivers to take and stop windows from using the Standard VGA Adapter.

Please help.

Start with a fresh Windows 7 install and only install the drivers from Toshiba.

I meant, start anew with a fresh install of Windows 7 and then only attempt to install the drivers downloaded from Toshiba.
