Hello,
I'm a very high end video editor (I can't disclose any information on who I work for) and I'm looking for the best possible video card I can have my company buy me for video rendering with Programs such as After Effects Maya and Premiere.
I have no budget so I'm just looking for the best inline at the moment, I've been staring at the Quadra cards cause I hear the GTX cards aren't truly made for rendering as much as gaming. If you guys have any idea on what you would recommend please let me know.

Thanks

Those of you who work with 3D graphics or 3D modeling applications such as 3DS Max, Maya, POV Ray, etc. You might benefit from purchasing a workstation class graphics card. While these graphics cards are hardware wise identical to lower to mid range gaming graphics cards, what you’re actually paying for are drivers that will accelerate stuff like viewports in your 3D models. It sucks that you have to pay 3x-4x more than a gaming graphics card, but companies like Nvidia and AMD conveniently leave out 3D modeling optimized code so you pretty much have no choice but to purchase these workstation class graphics cards. Below are a couple recommended graphics cards if you’re planning on building a new 3D graphics / modeling workstation. I typically recommend Nvidia graphics cards just because they feature CUDA and CUDA acceleration is something a lot of 3D modeling applications support.

Nvidia Quadro 4000
Nvidia Quadro 6000

I being a mainstream gamer don't know much about the power that manifests in a professional graphics card, considering your need I believe, an NVIDIA QUADRO K5000 @ $1800/- may be the best possible card for Video rendering with Adobe Effects and Maya. But, yield the power of a Quadro is not a cakewalk, you rig needs to be equaly beefy to exploit this beast. So, be wise while investing.

Aside from optimized code/instruction sets..... they also typically offer ECC server quality memory on-board. Quadro 6000 series will set you back a few grand. You may want to do some sort of cost/benefit analysis to determine if it is worth shooting for the moon when something in the 4000 series may be just fine.

Well a bit more of clearance on that end, we're getting workstations made by a company that sponsors our company so it's going to be out of their pockets, hence I might as well go for gold and see if they can get me the best in socket.

First thing I would do is grab the hardware compatibility list for the software(s) you are using. The best hardware means nothing if your application won't support it. All the high-end editing programs have a compatibility/support list.
