question about Vram and paging file size

How much V ram should be allocated to my SSD boot drive it is currently set at 8135MB is that two much?

Vram is video memory for your graphics card. If you have a dedicated card the vram is all on that. If you have integrated, then part of your memory is dedicated to graphics. I think you are referring to the page file that is on your ssd. My page file is my mechanical drive to save space on my ssd. There are conflicting views about disabling your page file completely. Depending on the amount of RAM you have its up to you if want your page file enabled.

i ment Virtual memory in performance options there is a spot where i see total paging file size and under it there is a min allowed 16mg the recommended 12202 mb and then Currently allocated 8135. the reason i ask this is my boot process has slowed a little and i am trying to figure out why. i still have 133 gb left on my SSD.

If you have 8 GB or more RAM you don't really need a page file. That said it would not be affecting your start up time. That is probably some program. People turn off their page file to reduce wear and tear on their SSD, something I don't really think is necessary.

yea i just clocked it. its about 30 seconds after post, i do have the dvd drive boot first should i switch that out to second or third?
