My last thread was http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1636611/custom-build-work.html#10566994
I RMA'd the motherboard, along with apparently 20 or so other people who bought it during the sale. Newegg was awesome and got me a prepaid label, no fuss, RMA was approved 1 day after it arrived and money was back in 2 days later.
So I order a new motherboard and ... now my power button will not work. At all. Period. Press it and nothing turns on. It was working before when I used the other motherboard (which wouldn't read RAM so had to be RMA'd). I can short it with a screwdriver on the pins and it powers up, but I would rather not have that be my main way of turning it on (and no idea how to turn it off without flipping the power switch on the PSU?). Of course, the new mobo doesn't support my 8350 unless I update BIOS, which I am working on with my phenom, yay for having to have both computers in pieces.
Is there any hope for fixing the power button, or should I just eat the $49 and buy a new case? There is no damage to the wire as far as I can tell. I doubt the screwdriver trick is good for the computer.
I swear this build will drive me insane.
