Will using a fan splitter work?

Hello,

I didn't quite know where to put this, so as there used to be a Cooling subsection in CPU's I decided to give it a whack here. I currently have a CM Storm Scout, and I'm planning to undertake a massive modding project over the coming months. What I would like to know however, is whether the fan splitter I'm going to use will have a certain effect.

I'm outfitting my modded case with a load of Aerocool Shark Devil Red fans. They each come with a 12v to 7v reduction cable, which gives decent airflow and sound levels of less than 15dbA. What I was wondering, was whether the BitFenix splitter I'm going to ue will have the same effect as the reduction cable. The splitter is 1x Molex to 3x 7v 3 pin.

It can be found here:

Best Regards

Solution
that will reduce to 7 volts for the fan check on overclockers .co.uk the way the molex 4 pins is set they also have 5 and 12 volts adaptor that should work .
