I've recently cleaned my GPU's thermal paste to reapply it with some "good stuff" but upon removing the heatsink, the plate that covers the GPU's processor detached. Does anyone perhaps know how I get this plate back onto the GPU for a solid stick, I've tried applying thermal paste and all it did was slide off, I recall it having a thermal paste-like substance left over so I cleaned it off with rubbing alcohol. The odd thing about that thermal paste is that it acted like a binder that kept the processor and processor plate together strongly, now that the bond is broken, I'd like to know how to apply a fresh "thermal glue" onto it, what do I need to get?
