I recently installed a EVGA GTX660 ti and ever since then I have no sound. I've reinstalled the audio drivers, tried finding any options for my onboard sound in the bios for windows 8 but can't find anything. I've read my computer may think im installing a audio card instead of video. Not sure what to try next.... I have a i7-3770 3.4GHz

IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

after playing around with my cords it now plays sound through my computer speakers with speakers/headphones as the default which is fine by me. something has changed though because it used to play sound when my Bose computer speakers weren't plugged in. Partly stupid by me because I think I may have plugged it in the wrong port in the back when I was moving stuff to install the card. Not sure why it wont play it with my speakers not plugged in but oh well, i'm not too concerned.

although thinking about it now I had tried moving the speakers to different ports so i'm not even sure what I did to fix it. Thanks for your reply though.
