When switching from an amd card to an nvidia card should I do anything before I install the video card?

I'm getting a GTX 660(NON-TI) to switch out with my 7750. So my question is do I just take out my old video card pop in the new one and everything should work? I don't have too much experience with this so I would appreciate a full detailed explanation.

Basically, windows would probably freak out and you could have problems.

just wondering but do I have to uninstall the amd drivers? Or can I just plug in the new card and uninstall the AMD drivers then.
