I'm getting a GTX 660(NON-TI) to switch out with my 7750. So my question is do I just take out my old video card pop in the new one and everything should work? I don't have too much experience with this so I would appreciate a full detailed explanation.

Unistall the ati drivers then shut down. Change cards and install nvidia drivers.

Uninstalling first is the best way to do it.

Is it because they might conflict and the monitor won't turn on or something like that?

Basically, windows would probably freak out and you could have problems.

you have to shutdown your PC to remove the old card anyway so just uninstall the drivers shutdown the replace it.
