First of all, thanks for reading this. My Business software is called infomanager 2.0. It last worked on Windows XP, which was my older computer used just to create, print, and mail contracts to clients.

It was time to buy a new computer so I upgraded and it has Windows 8, and it won't install. I've tried all the compatibility settings, and still won't install. I tried the test, and it does nothing.

Windows 8 doesn't give me an error code, just says can't run this app. I'm running 64 bit, with Classic Shell.

The software company has since gone out of business, so I can't get help there. I have almost 12 years of clients, and customers in the database. I'm guessing this software probably has the issues with Windows 7.

software uses a pkunzip, and I bought it in 1997.

This software is perfect for what it does, Thanks for reading.

Thanks for all the help, I would prefer not to chance a 3.5 upgrade, if I can get the 2.0 to work. Database issue, I am concerned. I sent an email to company to see.

Still no answer from the company. Windows 8 give me very little in error codes, or assistance to an answer.

It looks like they have updated the software to work with Windows 7 64 bit. You best option is probably to backup your database and see it the updated software can work for you. If the 2.0 version is 16bit that could explain the problem as you are running a 64 bit OS that will not run 16 bit software.
