My second HDD does not appear in my computer, disc manager, or the SATA port setings

I have a new desktop that has been built to help me with my career, and college work, specifically 3D modelling.

However upon booting it up for myself I discovered that my 1TB HDD does not appear in My computer, I have tried going through the disc management countless times and found nothing, other than my SSD, I have taken the side panel off to check the wiring, I've attempted other ports, but in the BIOS SATA settings, it does not appear at all.

Upon checking BIOS the HDD does not appear anywhere. Can anyone help, as college starts soon and sending this desktop off will be a huge inconvenience

Thank you for your suggestions, I had a friend who had a similar problem to me take a look, and it turns out the company who had built my desktop hadn't plugged the power into the HDD, which I had missed every time I looked.

I'm confused.
Your title says the HDD appears in bios, but your post says it doesn't.
Can you see the HDD anywhere in bios?
If not, make sure both the SATA cable and power cable are connected, and listen/feel the hard drive when you boot the system to make sure it's functional and properly connected. If it is, you should be able to hear/feel the hum when the platters start rotating.

yes, sorry I couldn't find how to edit the title, I've done all that |I can feel the faintest vibrations, and have looked at all the cables, everything is connected where it should be, and no it says there is nothing detected in the SATA slot the HDD is connected to

Fx-ray if it a newer intel mb.look online and see if the mb has one or two sata chipset. A lot of new mb will have 2 sata 6g ports using intel chipset and 4 sata 3G ports using intel chipset and then there may be two more 6g ports using another sata chipset. With new mb and sata ports. You can set the ports to raid/achi mode/IDE. Most system the chipsets should be set to achi mode.asus mb have the other sata chipset turned off by default.
