Hi,
I have been out of the building game for a while now since I last built my rig in 2009. Rather than getting up to speed from scratch I thought I'd ask you kind folk!
I currently have 1 XFX Radeon HD 4770 512MB DDR5 graphics card running on a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P motherboard. The board supports crossfire and I can get another 4770 card for about £50. Power won't be an issue as I have a 750w Corsair power pack and the GPU is the only real power hungry item in the rig and my fan system keeps the board very cool. The question is... is it worth buying another card and running the two together or should I just buy a single new card? Budget would be up to £125 for a new one.
Its nearly 4 years since I built the machine and there currently is no problem with new games and fps or detail. All games currently work great but want to rig to play new games well for the next 2-3 years. I'm opening the tower up to add a new hard drive and RAM so this is a good time to get the GPU done as well.
Appreciate any comments!
Regards,
