GTX 570 sli overheating!

My graphics cards are overheating! This only happens when I run a game/benchmark. Nvidia drivers are up to date. One of my cards reaches over 90 degrees celcius and then my PC turns off the monitor and it can't be turned back on until the computer is turned off and back on.

I've had these cards for almost two years. I've never had problems until now. One other weird thing:
I'm using CPUID Hardware Monitor to monitor the temps and even at idle, one card's temp is 37 degrees and the other one is 47 degrees. Why would one car be 10 degrees hotter? That makes no sense...

Please help me! I'm running windows 7 64 bit.

UPDATE:
Even when I run the heaven benchmark at the lowest settings and resolution, one of the cards reaches 50 degrees and one reaches 60. This sounds like a driver issue to me, but I just installed the latest one!

if you are so inclined, replace the thermal paste between the chip and the heatsink. that sounds like it would do it. other than that, make sure of all of the obvious things, fans running?...nothing blocking?...not a dust trap?...

The card with its fan facing the other card is going to be hotter because it's sucking in the heat that the other card is giving off. This is normal and makes perfect sense.

Your case more than likely doesn't have good airflow.

I have 570's in SLI and they get hot unless I turn up the fans. I used EVGA precision to create a custom fan profile as the default settings were causing overheating.

It is normal for one card to be 10 C hotter
