Okay so i'm planning on getting to gtx 690's in sli in the summer when i get a job and the money.

I know this is alot of money and i'll be an idiot for not knowing basic mother board stuff, i already know alot about cpus, gpus, hdds etc. I've studied alot for a while know, my last step is understanding all of this north bridge, south bridge, stuff.
Oh and what is a pci thingy?

please explain to me very simply because i'm not a genius :3.

Oh and if you wish please recommend me a mother board that has sli capabilities. A high end gaming one.

Please i want to educate my self on this kind of stuff before doing stupid things so help me ^_^ obviously ill keep studying for a few months before i get a pair

We can't recommend you a motherboard if we don't know your processor.

PCIe is the expansion slot in which you will be placing your 690s, so you will need at least two of them.

Also, make sure your temps will be good with SLI, especially over the summer. One of them will run ~10C hotter than the other.
