Gpu cable to TV

I'm getting a 7870 xt for my new build and I'm not buying a monitor. I'm going to be using my HDTV for it instead.
Does the card come with a cable to connect to my tv?
The TV has a small black rectangular shape plug in us that HDMI?
What cable do I need?

You will have to buy an HDMI cable.

According to this the gpu has HDMI, Dvi, and mini display port.
So I should buy a HDMI cord then?

Yes, as long as your TV has an HDMI connector, which it should because it is an HDTV.

Uhm sorry but a hdmi cable is ALwAYS required right? For video card and tv just I can always add a VGA/dvi adapter if I need to?

It is not required. VGA,DVI,HDMI any of these can be used if the correct connectors are in place. If the TV and GPU both have an HDMI port, no other cable will be needed.

Then all you need is an HDMI cable to connect the two and you are all set.
