Hello guys ...
I just got a new keyboard (ps/2) and put it in its port and restarted my PC , the second i began using internet computer started to do bizarre things : writing comments on its own and every minute logging off windows without a reason , i scanned it with updated antivirus but no threats found

So what could be the problem?
I appreciate ALL your help
thanks in advance

I've done that many a time, all that happens is that the device isn't recognised until the computer reboots.

Moving on, check there's nothing lying on your keyboard giving you all your unwanted keystrokes, also check that all old keyboards have been unplugged.

However, my gut feeling is that you either have malware or a trojan, this will need help from someone with more knowledge than myself.

What kind of comments? Random characters, or proper words and sentences?

Did you scan in Safe Mode? Boot-Scan?

Random characters like : 4=74sbi or .0 after a word, plus it now opens (my computer) window randomly
i scanned at normal mode, neither safe nor boot

I don't mean to offend you, but I must ask, have you spilled ANYTHING on the keyboard? If you haven't, are you sure no one else has?
Has the keyboard been dropped?
What's the name of the brand? Microsoft? HP? Intex? Logitech? Something else?

You should run a Boot-Scan just to be sure.

PS/2 ports are not designed to be hot swappable. Although most newer motherboards are designed to be more fault tolerant in case of accidental unplugging when computer is on.

Please do not post information that is not truthful and correct. Just because you have been able to get away with doing it with no bad consequences does not make it true.

What makes the truth is the experience that people have had and are passing on. To claim that what someone else says is not true is slander at the very least. They simply have not had that experience or knowledge. Personally, since you're calling me a liar I would have to take anything you say with a of pinch of salt.

True, the PS2 interface is not hot swappable, I didn't claim that it was. But claiming to fry a keyboard by plugging it in while the computer is switched on is just outright rubbish. In the 15 years I've been building/rebuilding and tinkering with computers I've never fried a keyboard, or heard of anyone else doing it, simply by plugging it in. I have fried other components (cpu and memory) with the static from my clothes, but that another issue.

Never called you a liar. If you took it that way my apologies'.
And yes in my 27 years of tinkering and fixing other peoples computers I have seen quite a few older motherboards and peripherals killed from plugging/unplugging PS/2 devices. Granted these were mostly older systems, which quite a few people still have. I just finished repairing and old P3 1.2 system with a failed hard drive last week.
So I wanted to make sure that other people reading this post did not think that it is OK to hot swap PS/2 devices.
If you choose to take that risk it is your own choice.

It was definitely not meant to be that way. I hope my apology is accepted and there are no hard feelings or grudges. And we can continue to share our knowledge and experiences.
