I downloaded windows 8 to my ssd and it is runing perfectly but ho do i set it so everything else that i will download will save to my hdd. Along with this how do i get the black bar off of the sides of the screen when using hdmi. Step by step would be very helpful becuase i am new to windows 8.

did you do a clean install of windows on your ssd? or did you do a clone/omage of your old hdd to your SSD?

For downloading:
Create a folder on your HDD. Call it downloads.
In your browser setting, set that as the default download location

For the black bars, your screen settings are incorrect.

right click on each of the my_docs folders (music, pics etc.), you'll find a tab called location, move the location to your hdd. When installing programs change c:\ to d:\ (or whatever your hdd is called).

Always choose a custom install when you install programs and apps, and it will give you the option of where you want to install the program.

Put them on a USB stick.

What if I cloned it?
How would I proceed with that?
