I'm building my first pc and have found some parts online. I wanted to be able to get some input on the setup before I bought the parts.

I plan on using it for gaming. mostly things like tf2, minecraft, cod:waw, and I'd like to try Starcraft. I'd also like to use it for source film maker and whatever program is used to make WaW zombie maps.

I was wondering if I have a good CPU and GPU for what I plan on using this for, and if you know of any similar or better options for less or similar price that would be vary helpful. I'm on a $1000 budget and the above come out to be about $975.

Thanks

Thanks, your being very helpful. I didn't think twice about the gpu memory before. I found this 2gb gpu with similar stats:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131473

not much more expensive either.

On a side note, I also realized how much the optical drive was and how much unnecessary stuff it had. I found a sufficient one for $20 and the total build price (with rebates and shipping) is currently down to $960.
