Is a 650w power supply good enough for two Sapphire Radeon 7850s? Modular?

So, within a few months, I plan on buying another Sapphire 7850 1 gb to be crossfire'd, as I loved the first one I got so much. However, at the time, I had only gotten a 500w power supply. So, obviously I need additional power. Is 650w enough? I understand that in terms of PSUs, their happy place is at about 60-70% load. Right now I'm looking at the Corsair TX650.

Also, I was wondering if I should get a modular PSU or just stick to a normal room. I have a NZXT Phantom 410, so cable management and airflow shouldn't be a problem, as I can just tuck them behind the motherboard tray.

Thanks in advance!

For a system using two SAPPHIRE HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 graphics cards in 2-way CrossFireX mode AMD specifies a minimum of an 600 Watt or greater system power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 35 Amps or greater and have at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) will require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

The Corsair TX Series TX650 (SKU# 75-001315 / CP-9020038-NA), with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 54 Amps and with two (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is way more than sufficient to power your system configuration with two SAPPHIRE HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 graphics cards in 2-way CrossFireX mode.

Seems excessive, even if I were running at OC speeds. Maybe for future proofing, but I can't imagine myself with two SLI 680s. After all, I'm 12, so funds are limited. My Mobo wouldn't even be able to support that :3

My philosophy is that at a certain margin, your framerate is somewhat irrelevant, and a beastly build is just a status symbol. I myself can't tell the difference between 40 FPS and 60 FPS, so getting an 850 watt PSU would just be inpractical.
