Okay so here's the dilemma that I'm in now...I'm thinking of buying the GeForce GTX 650 but I've got two options , I can buy the Asus GeForce GTX 650 Ti

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-GeForce-Graphics-Dual-link-Technology/dp/B009M4MAIK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1365881931&sr=8-2&keywords=ASUS+GeForce+GTX+650#productDetails

OR get the ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST which is overclocked

http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidiagtx650tiboostkeplerseries/gtx650tib-dc2oc-2gd5.html

But my question is , is it worth paying that extra £40 for the factory overclock? Or can I overclock it myself to that same speed and get the same performance? Because I looked on this site Videobenchmark

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

and shows that the Standard 650 gets 1820 points , the 650 Ti gets 2676 points and the 650 Ti Boost gets 3442 points which is a huge difference. So any idea's?

Thanks guys appreciate it!

All these 3 cards are completely different. The GTX 650 is Nvidia's bare minimum gaming graphics card. The 650 Ti is the next step up and usually recommended for low budget gamers. The 650 Ti Boost is Nvidia's latest card which competes against the 7850. If you can get a 650 Ti boost, the go ahead and get it. I would never get a 650. Only a 650 Ti and above. I recommend the 650 Ti Boost to you and if you can't afford it then get the 650 Ti.

You absolutely want the GTX 650Ti Boost - the main difference isn't just that they've added Boost, it's the 192-bit memory bus which gives you 40% more performance in games than the regular 650Ti. The GTX 660 is only 10% better than this awesome new card.

Yeah I was thinking of the 660 but it's quite expensive for a nice looking card or good company that makes the card. Either the http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-NVIDIA-GTX660-PCI-E-Gr... or http://www.amazon.co.uk/PNY-Geforce-NVIDIA-Graphics-PCI...

Also should I get the 7850 or 650 Ti Boost ? I'm not worried about money just not interested in a beast of a card , I already own a GTX 680 for my Main system.

Just get the Gigabyte card. As for 7850 vs 650 Ti Boost, the performance differs with every game. Just go see reviews on it and whatever game(s) gets the highest FPS on that card, then get that card.

Yes, it has better cooling and should be quieter because of the dual fans.

IKR :kaola:

Still can't reconcile the fact that no one will see it, so all that matters is perf. But I'LL know it's ugly...

But you look at the monitor more than you look at your graphics card. It doesn't even look that bad once installed in your system and you are looking at it from the side.

Wow, can't believe you think that Gigabyte 660 card is ugly. But I've owned 5 gigabyte cards in the past so I may be biased. I'm seriously thinking of picking up a 660 before they dissappear. In the US you can get them for about $185 after rebate at the moment and that is almost the same cost as a 650 Ti.

If anything it should be faster, but not a lot. Still recommend the 650 Ti Boost or 7850 though.
