Hi all. I just bought a Mushkin Atlas Deluxe 240GB mSATA SSD (MKNSSDAT240GB-DX). I had heard good things about it and the advertised sequential Read/Write is 560MB/s read and 530MB/s write.

I know that real-world performance never matches what is advertised, but I was expecting write performance of at least 300MB/s. Instead, I ran Crystal Disk and found my write speed at 186MB/s. Here's the pic: http://i50.tinypic.com/68r1nq.jpg

Does anyone know what might be the problem? The computer is a MSI GT70 0NE-452. I've downloaded the latest Mushkin firmware for the chip. Thanks!

Solution
Problem solved. Crystal Disk uses random data for its write test. If you go to File -> Write Data and select all 0's for the write data, the performance is close to 500 MB/s.
