What games can my new laptop run?

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite with 8gb RAM, a 2 core 2.20 ghz intel processor and integrated graphics (Sandy generation) what games can my laptop run? Thanks guys.

all depends what you want to run, for games go here = http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri here you can choose a game and see if it will run, it should run some games fine but newer ones i doubt very much. Look at games from 3 years ago or later, integrated mobile graphics cannot handle what new games require. Software wise it is little less taxing on the system, ram is more important, especially graphic programs, but you have enough.

Systems requirements labs told me I couldn't run CS:S but I can max that out and still have good FPS. So I'm a little confused.

when it says failed, what is it saying failed on, they may not have the recent drivers for the video that adds new support for games, this is a basis for gaming purpose, also try = http://www.yougamers.com/games/ . It is a recommendation that it may not pass as to older drivers, but based on certain patches and driver updates you should be able to run some games that failed as you said. The i3 integrated is a good graphics card, and not all games are tested with these newer chipsets. still would be wary on some, but you can always download the demo of games that you want and test them to see how they run

Failing from lack of dedicated video ram, which is only 64mb.

that's probably why, most games require 256Mb ram and up now, some older games even require 128Mb, so I would be very wary on games that require a lot of video memory. This is for the textures, shadows and the like, since you are limited on video ram and it is integrated don't expect to many games to run.

yes it will be shared but does not count towards requirements, some games won't even start if it says 256Mb and you have over a 1Gb it still won't run, it's how the games are designed
