Back Up Failure

i have used my BUFFALO DriveStation Axis 3TB USB 3.0 to back up my computer for the last 1 1/2 years. However after Geek Squad replaced my HD and Motherboard it now shows up as Local Disk E: and fails to back up since. What can I do to fix this? I have access to it when plugged in to my laptop. It simply wont back up.

Was there software that came with the drive? Windows won't back up your drive on it's own; you may need to re-install the software that came with the external HDD.

If you can access the files without any problems but it won't backup then your problems are probably software related.

Uninstall the software that came with your DriveStation Axis, reboot your computer, and then reinstall the software.
