SSD with Intel 3.0 SATA ports on Asrock Z77 Extreme 4

Hey guys. So I just bought the Asrock Z77 Extreme4 and set it up with the SSDs in the Asmedia ports by mistake. These are the grey ones on the far right as I believe. The two grey ports to the left of these are apparently the Intel ones which will allow me to get better data transfer from my SSDs, from what I've gathered.

My problem is when I realized this and tried to swap them out, my PC now shutoffs when it gets to Windows and will not load.

I have them selected as SSD in bios as SATA3_0 and 1 with my media drivers on Asmedia ones but windows will not boot.

Is windows confused because I switched the SATA ports or do I need something beyond the mobo software drivers the disc came with? Super frustrating :(

Were the Asmedia ports set up differently then the Intel ports? (IDE,AHCI or RAID)

Turn off Asmedia mode in the BIOS.

Under storage configuration in the Bios.

OK but the problem is mainly that the Intel ports aren't working so I have to actually use the asmedia ports to even run windows.

Could it be I need to clear my CMOS or something with Windows ?

How would I go about doing something like that? I feel like its something that needs to be reset

I'll give it a try. Something tells me if I had plugged it in correctly the first time it'd be fine. But now I'm also getting an error when I try to get my windows 8 assesent score

Thank you so much this appears to have worked. Though now I just can't use the Asmedia ports? If I turn them back on I wonder what will happen.

They will still work, just not with the Asmedia drivers which are horrible.
