First of all, my specs:
i5 3570k cpu (no overclock/stock cooler)
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 ti (stock)
8gb ram
500W Corsair builder PSU
3 x 1tb Western Digital HD
LG Blu Ray Burner
So everything seemed fine until I installed my 3rd hard drive recently, but I don't think thats the issue. A couple days ago, I noticed my GPU which had always idled at around 29/30 was now idling at 36...not a big deal, but I decided to use FurMark to stress test it. I chose the burn in test, and all was well (got up to a peak of about 72 degrees) until about 15 minutes in, my PC shut off completely, and would not turn back on until I fully reset the power. Since then, if I play a game (such as Bioshock Infinite), about 20-25 minutes into playing my PC shuts off completely. My main question is, do you think the issue is the CPU? I know the stock heatsink is supposedly horrible but I didn't have an issue until now. Any insight is appreciated, and if you need any more information from me just ask. Thanks guys.
