Hi everyone, I've been having a problem where after installing Catalyst 13.1 drivers (coming from 12.8), my system will immediately freeze at boot (usually right once the Windows start sound begins). The only way to regain a usuable system is to boot into safe mode, delete all references to AMD in Program Files, and then boot back into Windows and revert to 12.8 drivers. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Here's a video of what happens from start to the freeze event.

My hardware is as follows:
Windows 8 Pro with Media Center
AMD Athlon II X4 645 (3.1ghz)
8GB DDR3
500GB 7200rpm HDD
AMD Radon HD 6670 1GB
220w PSU (my power supply is not the problem...)

All I can say is that stick with the older drivers until they fix the problems. Every once in a while driver releases have issues with certain hardware combinations.

That said, DAMN that PSU is small for that system. 161 watts for the CPU and GPU alone.
