Colors are not correct when using 1080p on GTX 670

I just built a new PC. I have a GTX 670 now. When I have it in 1080P some of the colors are off, like the orange looks more off white, same with some yellows, the reds look more pink sometimes. The text for a link which should be a distinct blue looks almost black. It only happens when its on 1080p, when I cloned both my computer monitor and tv to show the same image, it took the TV off 1080p and the colors were fixed, but once I went back to 1080p the colors were all messed up again.

Why are the colors messed up when in 1080p?

In the Nvidia control panel I had the option to "clone" the same image onto both screens. When I did that, it took the tv resolution down to 1680x1050 same as the Dell monitor I have, and was no longer in 1080p. I went back into the control panel and changed the resolution back to 1080p and the colors went back to being off.

No you misunderstood me, I have a Dell monitor and a Samsung TV both hooked up to the 670 2gb. The Dell Monitor is at 1680x1050 (native) and the Samsung HDTV is at 1080p, 1920x1080 (native). When I clicked "clone" which means it will display the same image on both screens rather than treat them like two separate screens with different images, it automatically put my HDTV down to 1680x1050, I am assuming to match the monitor since the same image will now be displayed on both screens.

Lets forget all about that though. That is how I "discovered" the color issue. Read the scenario below.

I now have ONLY the the HDMI plugged in to the back of my 670 2gb, it is plugged into my Samsung 1080p HDTV. The resolution is set at 1080p, 1920x1080 (native). The colors are a little bit dull and off. In some places blues look ok, reds too, in others red seem to look very dull, orange and yellow seem to blend into an "off white". Now, if I change the resolution and bring it down to 1680x1050, or anything that brings it out of 1080p, the colors now look brilliant, the only difference is it is no longer in 1080p, and the image appears to no longer be in HD.

I hope that makes more sense.
