creating a non ad hoc hotspot PLEASE help!

Hello, I'm on windows xp and I'm trying to create a wireless hotspot using a wireless adapter. It works with connectify, but I can't figure out a way to create a network that is NOT ad hoc. Is there another program that will work? The reason i need to do this is because I'm trying to create a wifi hotspot for my android phone, but android doesn't recognize ad hoc. Please help.

In the second link, after step 9, when I click view available wireless networks, I don't see the netowrk I added.

Just to be clear, I am trying to make a wifi hotspot that isn't ad hoc with my wireless usb adapter. I don't have a router. I don't want ad hoc because my phone can't connect to ad hoc networks.

Did you set up ICS on the XP? Also, does Device Manager properly recognize the wireless adapter (drivers installed properly)?
