VPN not connecting after replacing an old Comcast Modem?

After a Comcast Tech replaced an old modem that was faulty, my mothers VPN no longer works when connected to the WiFi. However, it does work if she's using her phone on the 3g.

Would this be a problem on Comcasts side, or an issue with the people who control the VPN. Is there something within the settings of her VPN that she would need to change due to the new Modem?

Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Modem model is "Technicolor - TC8305C"

    Check that the new modem isn't blocking the ports you need if it has any firewall. Can you try connecting to the VPN on a different line?
