Trying to use a thumb drive as an internal sata drive

I have a netbook with a crashed hard drive. I'm kind of strapped for cash, so I thought I could see if anyone here knows of an adapter I could pick up that converts from a usb stick to internal sata. I'm having trouble searching for one because all the adapters appear to go the other way. (Ie. from SATA to USB)

But what I need is USB to SATA.

Thanks.

Instead of trying to adapt your USB memory stick to SATA, why not just boot to it from a USB port? A USB memory device is not going to be a fast solution, even if you did manage to adapt it, although I concede it's probably going to be a nuisance sticking out of your netbook.

Thanks for the answer. Yeah this is the way its set up right now. Just wanted to get the USB stick out of the way, pretty much.
